To enquire about, or order your Salt Print or Cyanotype, you need to let us see your image so that we can assess it’s suitability for printing and make recommendations to you on size, technique and toning. To help you, there is a guide below.
No payment is required for assessing your image.

How to inquire or place an order
At Studio OAF, we provide bespoke printing services for your digital camera or moblie phone photographs. Choose between Salt Printing and Cyanotype printing, with toning tailored to your preferences. We’ll guide you through the process to achieve the best results for your image.
Looking for ready-made art? We also offer a range of beautiful, limited-edition Salt Prints and Cyanotypes available for purchase in our online shop.
Our prices include both the creation of the inter-negative and the chosen tone. The prices quoted are for the first print. There is a 20% discount on any additional prints made from the same negative.
Print sizes and prices:
- Paper size: 20 x 25 cm | Image size: approx. 15 x 20 cm – 135€
- Paper size: 28 x 38 cm | Image size: approx. 23 x 33 cm – 190€
- Paper size: 40 x 50 cm | Image size: approx. 33 x 46 cm – 350€
The costs for larger sizes and other formats can be provided on request.
By default we print on COT 320 or 170 paper which is made especially for alternative photographic printing processes.
You can send us your images using our contact form or via Dropbox, a free and convenient service for transferring large or multiple files.
We accept files in JPG, TIF, or RAW formats, but we cannot process PDFs. If your photos are in colour, no problem, we will take care of the conversion to black and white.
If you have a specific format, process, or tone in mind for your image, let us know and we will check if your image is suitable.
If you have an analogue photo that you would like to see reproduced as a salt print or cyanotype, whether to gift it to your family or simply to capture the unique aesthetic of alternative photography, we can do it.
Please send us a high-resolution JPG scan of the image using a flatbed scanner. Please note that it is not sufficient to take a photo of the image with your mobile phone.
After reviewing your image, we’ll let you know the print size possible based on its resolution. This is a technical restriction, not a size recommendation.
We can recommend a format such as 5:4 or 16:9 or panoramic, but it is your image, so please feel free to share your preferences with us. We will also ask if you would like brush strokes to be visible around the image. We will do a little bit of digital processing and send you an approximation of what your print will look like.
You’ll also receive a detailed PDF outlining the process, along with our terms and conditions.
We will ask you if you would like to place a confirmed order and to specify the size and the desired processes.
Once payment is received, we will begin printing your image. Working with alternative photographic methods can be challenging, therefore, please allow a timeframe of 5 to 15 days for your print to be ready.
We will provide you with a PDF containing suggestions for framing and mounting. Please note that we do not offer framing or mounting services.
Shipping costs are free in mainland France via Colissimo. For EEA countries, the shipping fee is €7.50 per order. For deliveries outside the EEA, we will advise you on shipping costs and customs duties will be your responsibility.
We are committed to maintaining a high level of confidentiality, both for legal reasons and to respect the personal nature of your images. We encourage you to read our privacy notice, available on this website.
After one year, your images will be deleted or destroyed, but we will inform you in advance. During this period, you can request an additional print with a 20% discount. Once the images are deleted, this discount will no longer apply..
If you wish for us to keep your images for more than a year, please let us know. You can also request their deletion at any time..
